2026 Umbria Rally: hotel agreements

Rally of the Umbria ’resides“ in the historic centre of Perugia, i.e. the preliminary operations take place in the centre of Perugia on Thursday 23 April and the three stages start from the historic centre.

We tend to give one piece of advice that has proved invaluable over the years: if you arrive in Perugia by car or van... it is best to stay away from the historic centre!
The medieval acropolis, built on the Roman and before that on an Etruscan city, is the enemy of four-wheelers: there are no parking spaces, the streets are very narrow, and ZTL (limited traffic zone) gates are everywhere and always active.
If you come on four or six wheels, the best solution is a hotel, a farmhouse or a B&B just outside the city centre: from there you only move around on your motorbike, free and carefree.

If you arrive directly by motorbike, it may be nice to stop in the centre (there are plenty of solutions) but it is better to be sure the hotel has a garage, even a shared one, in which to put the motorbike at night: it may be outside, the city is not dangerous, but we all prefer to know our darling under cover!

In any case, the rendezvous for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings are the Carducci Gardens, while only for the Friday 24 stage we will start from Corso Vannucci (which is normally a pedestrian zone).

As a suggestion for accommodation... we recommend referring directly to online booking platforms, confessing (in spite of ourselves) that we gave up on hotel conventions due to the few responses we got.
