Umbria Rally: the 14th edition on video
A wonderful roundup of images from the 14th Umbria Rally, the adventuring event that every year (for many years) takes 250 participants from all over Europe on a discovery tour of the Umbria.
If every year Moto Club Umbria, organiser of the event, revolutionises the routes of the three stages to always discover 'another Umbria' what doesn't change is the start in the magnificent setting of Perugia's historic centre!
On Thursday 1 May, the preliminary operations took place at the Loggia dei Lanari, with the Carducci Gardens coloured by 250 motorbikes.
On Friday 2 May, the first stage had a very special meaning: after the welcome by the civic authorities in the Sala dei Notari, with Mayor Vittoria Ferdinandi and Councillor Fabrizio Croce for the Municipality of Perugia Councillor Andrea Giombi for the Municipality of Fabriano the motorbikes left for Fabriano, to inaugurate the town twinning between Perugia's Maggiore and Fabriano's Sturinalto fountains.
On Saturday, 3 May, the longest stage travelled along Monte Subasio and then headed to the high altitudes of the Umbrian-Marches Apennines, to stop at Roccatamburowonderfully welcomed by the local Proloco for a snack full of traditional local products.
The stage then ended in Deruta, welcomed by the Municipality of Deruta in the cloister of the Museum of Ceramics with an aperitif organised by the Proloco of Deruta.
On Sunday 4 May, a shorter stage led the participants south-west to finish in Monteleone di Orvieto for a wonderful party organised by the Proloco. The success and European reputation of the Umbria Rally is built on the work of Moto Club Umbria and the cooperation and trust of the sponsoring organisations, including the Region Umbria e Umbriatourism, the Marche Region, AUM Umbro Marchigiano Apennines, UISP and the event's technical partners, 7Solid, Motorbike Spiders e Navirally App.
