The 12th edition of the Umbria Rally opened with an intense stage to discover the north-western part of the Umbria.

The start in Piazza Matteotti, in the historic centre of Perugia, opened an itinerary of around 220 kilometres, which skirted Lake Trasimeno in the morning and the Upper Tiber Valley in the afternoon, stopping for a hearty snack organised by the Pro-Loco di Volterrano.
