Thank you Umbria!

This ninth Rally of the Umbria was complex and troubled.
At the end of February we were ready for April, surrounded by the usual enthusiasm: an instant after our other event, Anàbasi 300, the world changed: it was obvious to suspend the event at a date to be determined, and from there we wanted to take a sort of 'vow of silence'.
The important issues had become other, everyone was talking and predicting what would happen next: we believed that our little fun, our passion for moto-tourism could take a back seat, waiting for a return, then indefinite in time, to a kind of normality.

A long silence that we broke when it was reasonable to think that the 'right' conditions for having fun might have been there, and above all, that our Umbria Rally might have been a time of joy and enjoyment, far from interfering with the tragedies we experienced.

August, who would have thought it! Rally of the Umbria, since its first edition in the very distant 2000s, has been held in April to pay homage to the Umbria in its heyday: perhaps out of habit, we never thought we could change the date.
Reviewing that route, already defined in April, in the summer (when we were allowed to return by motorbike) opened up a new vision of this region, which we know so well: so we decided to modify the route in part, to insert variants, to file down tracks: we believe you have appreciated this fine work on some landscapes that still, after so many years, amaze us every time.

A great event such as the Umbria Rally is set up in motion, but it is also and above all made up of relationships: the thanks that follow are not ritual formulas but a demonstration of gratitude to those who accompany us on this organisational adventure.

The first thanks is addressed to the many who had already registered for April and welcomed the change of date, to the many who decided to participate, and to those who, unable to attend, asked to participate in the 10th edition of the Umbria Rally, which will be from 15 to 18 April 2021.
The enthusiasm and joy of our participants is the strongest motivation for us!
